Heavy rainfall flooded Lagos,destroys valuables

It was gathered that on Wednesday, July 19, reported the flood spotted around Ikeja, Akilo road, Ogba and its environs. People did not only get to work late but some recounted how the flood nearly swept them away into the canal. In the same plight, Nigerians once again on Saturday, July 22, woke up to the heavy rainfall and in no time flood took over major streets on the mainland.
As reported by @Gidi_Traffic who copied the governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode Twitter. The tweet was titled ‘When it Floods in Lekki Vs when it Floods on the Mainland’. The picture attached to the post showed how the flood made refuse dumps take over Akobi street, Surulere, Lagos. Refuse that have been dumped in canals and other designated areas have found their way to the street.CLICK HERE for more details.
