TRUMP FIRE ATTORNEY FOR REFUSING TO DEFEND IMMIGRATION ORDER
President Trump fired the acting attorney general Sally Q. Yates after she refused to defend his immigration executive order, according to The New York Times. Trump declared Yates had "betrayed" the administration and was trying to obstruct his agenda for her own political reasons Yates was a holdover from the Obama administration until the next Attorney General gets sworn in and was replaced by Dana J. Boente, United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia “I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution’s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right,” Ms. Yates wrote in a letter to Justice Department lawyers. “At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.
